Skinfood Mud Mask :: First Impression

For my birthday I finally treated myself to the Skinfood Mud Mask. I have seen so many raving reviews so i finally took the plunge and got it while it was on special at my local Countdown Supermarket for $10.49.

Obviously as soon as the kids were asleep in bed, I couldn’t have whipped the box open fast enough.. well not before taking an instagram pic of course!

I took all of my makeup off with coconut oil, washed my face with my Benzac Facial Scrub to really clean my face and help with blackheads. The Instructions state to apply a thick layer all over the skin.

One warning i have with this product, is that if it is too close to the eye area it does tend to sting your eyes, so i recommend to only go up to the eye socket area.

I left it on for 15 minutes and then washed it off with a hot flannel. Instantly i noticed my skin was softer, my pores appeared smaller and my complexion felt smoother.

I followed it up with my new Rose Hip Oil Serum  and my Simple Vital Vitamin Night Cream and Nutrimetics Sensitive Eye Cream

My skin has never glowed like this before nor did it feel as soft and smooth. I have used this mask 3 times now and each time my pores look smaller and my skin feel softer. My Make up applies so much nicer and overall i just feel better in myself. I definitely recommend all of these products. I will also do a follow up of these items including the rosehip oil after i have used them for a little while.

Have you tried these products before? Did they work for you?

Every Day Makeup

Well this is a first! I have never done a beauty post before but im really getting back into my make up and what better place to start than with my everyday products.

Starting with my basedsc06627

Primers :: She Pure magic primer & Nutrimetic line prime

Foundation :: Za BB Cream and Thin Lizzy Concealer cream

Concealer :: Natio Natural Concealer & LA Girl Pro Conceal

Powder :: Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder

Bronzer/Contour :: Thin Lizzy 6 in 1

Blusher :: Nutrimetics Pure Touch Blush in Plum

Highlighter :: Dollar store brand “Shiny Powder”

Then onto eyes and brows!

I like to keep it very basic for my eyes,

Brows :: For my brows i use the Nutrimetics Glam Colour palette and i like to use the brown eyeliner shadow, it gives a nice bold brow that lasts all day

Eyes :: If i use eyeshadow i reach for the Nutrimetics eye brow kit. It has all the perfect shades for an all over colour, browbone and inner corner highlight as well as a great light brown for the crease and darker brown to either darken the outer corner for a smokey look or to use on the lash line as a smudged liner

Lashes :: I use the Nutrimetics liquid eye definer for a cat winged liner and for mascara I am obsessed with the Za Perfect Action Waterproof Mascara, it literally does not move! For a little extra volume i will usually layer that with my Nutrimetics 4 in one Ultimate Mascara, followed by that, depending on what mood i’m in i will use the Nutrimetics Defining waterproof eye pencil in my waterline to give my eyes a more sultry look

Then for lips ::

Lips :: I stay very neutral with my lips as i am a chronic lip smusher so lip products dont tend to last well on me when im alway rubbing my lips together, so my fave it the Natio Long Lasting Lip liner in Nude, But unfortunately i am coming to the end of that one so I have been reaching for my Nutrimetics Perfecting Lip Pencil in Nude, and if i feel like gloss I will reach for my Nutrimetics Lip Lightening Gloss in Blush rose.

Now I now there is ALOT of Nutrimetics products so I will tell you here that I used to be a consultant for Nutrimetics, so i still have alot of their products left that i tend to use, they are very nice products but there are definitely alternative products out there that you can use instead. These are just what I use right now.

I have filmed a get ready with me video to go alongside this post so you can see how I apply these products, when that video is live I will add a link HERE.

I hope you liked this kind of post as it is a new one for me, let me know your thoughts in the comments, and if you have any products to recommend then please let me know 🙂
